Just days after I explained how to connect your Amazon Echo with your Nest thermostat using Reflect, Nest Labs announced that an official collaboration between Nest and Alexa will be released in just a couple of weeks. Once the official integration is in place, you will be able to tell Alexa to turn the temperature up or down, ask about the temperature or humidity, or tell the thermostat that you are leaving.
This has been a long time coming! Although you could control your Nest with voice commands through Google Now for quite some time, Alexa has become the only major player in voice controls specifically for home automation.
